Best used the night before a wash in my experience. I massage it in while watching TV and shampoo it out in the morning. My scalp stopped snowing on my shoulders within two weeks.
A tiny amount spread with fingertips covers the whole scalp. It calmed the tight, dry feeling I'd get after every wash. Also my hair looks healthier at the roots, less wiry.
